About FC135.ai
FC135.ai answers two kinds of question about US federal aviation regulations: what a rule requires and whether it applies to you, and whether your manual is current against it.
How an answer is produced
- Your question is classified. Anything outside those two kinds is refused.
- Relevant sections are retrieved from the regulation text we hold.
- A language model answers from those sections only.
- Every quotation is checked character-for-character against the source. Anything that doesn't match is deleted — and if that leaves the answer without support, the whole answer is replaced with an honest "we can't source this."
What we hold
Verbatim regulation text, fetched from the eCFR Versioner API and refreshed daily:
Regulation 14 CFR — 14 parts
- 14 CFR Part 1 — Definitions and abbreviations used throughout Title 14.

- 14 CFR Part 91 — The general operating and flight rules that underlie all civil operations.
- 14 CFR Part 107 — Operating rules for small UAS.
- 14 CFR Part 110 — Applicability definitions that decide whether 119/121/135 apply.
- 14 CFR Part 117 — Part 121 flight, duty and rest limits; the comparison point for 135 duty rules.
- 14 CFR Part 119 — Certification and operations specifications; decides who must hold a certificate.
- 14 CFR Part 120 — FAA drug and alcohol testing program requirements.
- 14 CFR Part 135 — The core Part 135 operating rules — the subject of this product.
Regulation 49 CFR — 3 parts
- 49 CFR Part 40 — The procedural backbone referenced by 14 CFR Part 120.
- 49 CFR Part 1544 — PUBLIC rule text only. SSI content (49 CFR 1520) is never collected.
- 49 CFR Part 1560 — Secure Flight passenger data requirements. Public rule text only.
FAA guidance 4774 documents — guidance on how to comply, not the rule itself
- SAS data collection tools 1688
- Chief Counsel legal interpretations 1055
- Order 8900.1 (FAA inspector guidance) 809
- Advisory Circulars 738
- Information for Operators (InFO) 258
- Safety Alerts for Operators (SAFO) 198
- Policy statements 28
What we don't hold
FAA guidance — Advisory Circulars, Orders including 8900.1, legal interpretations, SAFOs and InFOs — is not yet collected. Answers cite regulation text only. We would rather say so than let a model fill the gap from memory.
What this is not
Not legal advice. We cite what a regulation says. We do not opine on enforcement, liability, penalties, or what you should do about an incident. These are US federal rules; nothing here speaks to any other jurisdiction.
